Conan’s dark scarred face was darker yet with passion; his black armor was hacked to tatters and splashed with blood; his great sword red to the cross-piece. In this stress all the veneer of civilization had faded; it was a barbarian who faced his conquerors.
In a nutshell
The Thin Veneer is a server for Conan Exiles Enhanced. Our chief focus is role-play in the Hyborian Age, the setting of Robert E. Howard’s stories and of the game itself. The RPG books of Modiphius Entertainment are used as the primary source of lore, and upholding the atmosphere is an important component of the server.
Conflict is a central component of role-play on the server. However, to reduce the friction of conflict as much as possible, we frame it entirely through the lens of collaboration. Conflict is two players building a story together, not two players butting heads. This presupposes a level of maturity from all participants, which we will moderate for.
The server deviates very little from the vanilla gameplay experience. Your character arrives naked and afraid in the Exiled Lands, and the PvE loop remains intact. A small handful of conveniences are layered over the vanilla experience.
